Ø  4th of July Fireworks & Events

The most important question every person always asks is, “Where can I see the fireworks?” This year we have a collection of star-studded firework displays and fun-filled events perfect for the summer holiday.

Star Spangled Sparks is a favorite event amongst locals and visitors alike. This annual 4th of July event is hosted by the Nugget Casino Resort in Sparks. Stroll Victorian Ave and enjoy the variety of food and beverage vendors and arts and craft booths that line the street. Then settle into your viewing area for the area’s largest firework display launched from the Nugget’s rooftops.

Art own is in full swing for the entire month of July and there is not a better way to celebrate the 4th of July than with the Reno Phil and their American Salute performance on Monday, July 4. Listen to patriotic and classical favorites followed by a fantastic firework finale.

Make an entire day of it - explore the historic town of Virginia City and stay for the fireworks show. Just leave your motel in Downtown Reno for the V&T Railroad, which will be running its steam trains all day and there is a parade Downtown at noon. Top off the day with various fireworks celebrations throughout the town.

Several locations around Lake Tahoe will have 4th of July celebrations taking place as well. Tahoe City is offering a truly unique drone show that is eco-friendly and supports the sustainability efforts in the region. More than 100 drones will take the skies to deliver a memorable 4th July show. Incline Village will even have a drone show to celebrate the holiday on July 4. Celebrate a day early in Kings Beach at their fireworks and beach party on July 3. Enjoy an evening on the beach, capped off by a firework display at 9:30 p.m.

Ø  Even More Refreshing Summer Fun

There is no better way to celebrate the 4th of July than enjoying the great American pastime at Greater Nevada Field. The Reno Aces take the field for a home stand against the Tacoma Raiders, beginning July 4.

Summer is in full swing and the temperatures are heating up and that means it is time to hit the water. The 4th of July is ideal for taking your stand-up paddleboard for a cruise on the Sparks Marina, Pyramid Lake or tubing the Truckee River. If you are feeling adventurous, check out the whitewater rafting tours available in the area as well. The family will even jump at the chance to spend the day at Wild Island Family Adventure Park where you can spend the day relaxing in their Lazy River or racing down the various water slides.
